吴玫

吴玫, 2008年获得美国爱达荷大学哲学博士(Ph.D)学位,研究领域为高等教育管理。吴玫博士曾就读于亚洲理工学院获得工商管理硕士学位(MBA),法国CERAM欧洲商学院获国际金融理学硕士(MSc)学位,和云南大学外语系获英语专业毕业证书。她还获得德国学术交流中心(DAAD)奖学金到亚洲理工学院深造,以及法国政府奖学金到法国CERAM欧洲商学院深造。
吴博士自2006年起多次在美国教育研究协会(AERA)年会上发表论文。
作为第一作者,她合著的论文《中国顶尖少数民族大学中少数民族和汉族民族的社会文化与学术适应》被收藏在Gulbahar BuckettGerard Postiglione编著的名为《中国融合的语言政策:对民族和谐的影响》一书中,由伦敦Routledge出版社出版(2011)。
作为第二作者,她合著的论文《学生--促进科技融入以催速建立以学校为基础的学习社区:美国的成功实践和在中国的可能性探讨》作为第5章发表于由Myint Swe KhineIssa M.Saleh编著的名为《革新的领导与精湛的教育:信息时代的学习型组织》一书中,由荷兰鹿特丹Sense出版社出版(2009)。
吴博士曾在泰国泰京银行昆明任银行职员六年,在北京WildChina特殊旅游公司任副经理一年,在美国国际发展署(USAID)政策项目中国部任营运经理一年。
20103月加入到云南大学世界杯在线买球从事教学与研究工作以来,吴博士已开设的课程三门,即国际视野下的中国高等教育专题研究国外中小学教育,和现代教育艺术与实践。是清华大学全国大学生发展与跟踪调查NSSE-China)云南大学子课题组主要负责人。她的研究兴趣包括少数民族教育、国际教育研究、和教育测量等。
Mei Wu received a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Idaho in the USA. She has an MBA from the School of Management at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand and an MSc in International Finance CERAM Sophia Antipolis Business School in Nice, France. She also graduated from Yunnan University with a diploma in English.
Dr. Wu received a DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst) Scholarship from the German government for her study at the Asian Institute of Technology, and a French Government Scholarship to study at CERAM Sophia Antipolis European Business School. Dr. Wu has presented numerous papers at Annual Meetings of the American Educational Research Association, and she is first author of a chapter titled The Socio-cultural and Academic Adjustment of Minority-group and Han Majority Students at a Leading University for Ethnic Minorities in China to appear in Gulbahar Beckett and Gerard Postiglione (Eds.), China’s Integrationist Language Policy: Impact on Ethnic Harmony. London: Routledge Press, 2011.Dr. Wu is also co-author of a chapter in Transformative Leadership and Educational Excellence: Learning Organizations in the Information Age , published bySense Publishers, Rotterdam, Netherlands. Dr. Wu was a bank officer for six years at Krung Thai Bank in Kunming, China; Deputy Manager for a year at WildChina Company in Beijing; and National Operations Manager for the POLICY Project’s China Office, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and operated by The Futures Group. Currently she is a faculty member at the Research Institute of Higher Education (RIHE), Yunnan University. Since she joined RIHE in March 2010, Dr. Wu has taught three graduate courses, i.e. “the Contemporary Issues of Higher Education in China: from the International Perspectives”, “the Basic Education: an International Overview”, and “the Educational Philosophy, Theory and Practices”.
Dr. Wu is also in charge of the Yunnan University’s Project of “National Survey for Student Engagement – China” funded by Tsinghua University.
Her research interests include minority education, transnational education, and educational measurement.
